It is a quiet and decent place to stay. I had to be here for 2 days because of a Dispatcher drop off time mistake.
Car broke down and we chose to stay here. Should have spent an extra $10 and a few extra steps and got a room with towels. A better breakfast and a fitness room. I was given a wash cloth to use for a towel. Would not stay here again. Already frustrated from car breakdown, not being able to shower and dry off properly added to it. Please spend the extra $10 or less and get better service, quality and restful peace of mind! Straight truth!!!!
We wanted to stay at the Ho Jo next door after comparing the reviews on both; but they were booked so we crossed the lot to the Super, going in with super low expectations, and were pleasantly surprised. The outside is very seedy and it was a complicated trip up to the room, but once inside we were impressed, despite the many poor reviews we had read. The room was equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker with two packets of coffee/condiments. Our king size bed had 4 plush pillows, the comforter was covered in cigarette burns (in a non smoking room; but, isn't that any motel?). The bathroom had a little placard saying soap/razor/shaving cream/sewing kit/toothbrush/paste. We did find two earwigs, but no roaches, as we feared. It appears the Super 8 is trying to turn their reputation around; We will definitely be staying here again.
This place has the worst business practice I've ever seen. A good friend of mine has been staying there since February. She pays 500 a week faithfully. When she went into the office to pay last night they told her that the entire hotel was booked and she had to be out this morning and all area hotels are also sold out. She now has to be in work in less than an hour has to pack her belonging and be on the street tonight. A disgrace! If you read this please pass it on as I feel it important to let as many people know what they've done to this poor girl.
The price and location are definitely in Super 8's favor, however if you NEED a bar of soap or ask for an additional towel then this is definitely not your place. The room appears to be clean yet the toilet seat in bad condition and toilet handle in a very odd position...
